Where do our thoughts come from and where
do they go?
They all originate in the same place. The real
question is: what are our thoughts, and are they really ours in the first
place? Let’s examine some of these questions. Thoughts represent an intangible
form of energy very similar to electricity. This energy exits all around us. It
is easily generated and it is a part of the life force of all living things and
has been called several names by many cultures. The form of life energy called
chi by ancient cultures that permeates all things is part of that matrix of
energy to which thought belongs. We harness this energy in an individual way
and use this energy to create tangible objects that are evident all around us.
Visible structures such as buildings, cars and other physical objects represent
the final outcome of a thought or idea. The thought was not used up or consumed
by being applied to the creation of a physical object. Another analogy may be
appropriate here. People and cars utilize roads for transportation and their
progress is achieved by the traction that they apply to this surface
nevertheless they do not consume the road. The road remains when the traffic is
gone. The road represents the medium that the thoughts occupy. The pedestrians
and the vehicles represent the ideas. If thoughts represent a form of energy
where do they go and do our thoughts disappear once they originate? Thoughts
and ideas are a very dynamic form of energy, however they are not unique and
are constantly interacting with that infinite pool of energy that has always
been present and are a part of this amorphous energy that flows around and
through all of us. They are separate, but at the same time a part of a larger
system. Thinking affects the flow of this energy and all who use it without
consuming it or depleting it in any way. The changes resulting from the
thoughts that we have are not affected by time and space and are very distinct,
even though not yet measurable. No doubt, in time it will certainly be possible
to harness thoughts, record them and even replay them as easily as it is
possible to record the human voice. Positive thoughts will always be creative
and have been shown to change and affect living cells. Those who will come
after us will benefit from the positive thoughts that we are having right now.
